Our Children are very precious to us. We should always feed them with balanced food to ensure sound health and growth. Outside food is a barrier in student’s growth and development. Please promise to provide healthy tiffin and water bottle before they leave for school. six hours in school is v long so, “Never allow your child to come to school empty stomach “
CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT
KVS outlines both the rights and responsibilities of students. While the student has the right to expect a good education, the school has theright to expect good behavior and responsibility from the student. Specific information is printed in the Code of Student Conduct. Students who choose to continually be disruptive, disrespectful, or discourteous will be dealt with in accordance with the KVS Code of Student Conduct.
The Code of Student Conduct describes the rules that must be followed as well as the consequences if rules are not followed, including in and out of school suspensions. Each student will be given a copy of this Code, and parents and students are responsible for the contents of this document.
CUSTODY OF STUDENTS
The school staff is required to release students to either of their natural parents. All students must be signed out by parent, legal guardian, or designated adult in the office, and they must be listed as allowed to pick up the student in the student dairy. We will check identification to assure students are released only to those allowed as per the info given in the dairy or authority letter, so it is important that student dairy be properly completed, and updated if any changes occur.
DISCIPLINE and SOP
Each student is expected to behave so they will not interfere with the educational opportunities of classmates. Parents have the primary responsibility for their child’s conduct. Please review these conduct rules given in the student diary with your child.
Our school mission expects us to follow these rules:
Speak Only Kind Words
Prepare at Home to Learn at School
Ask For Help
Keep Hands and Feet to Yourself and Off the Walls
You Can Be the Best!
Our concern is the safety of ALL CHILDREN. Please help us by not encouraging your child to break the school rules and policies. All students should remain seated, facing front and silent during gap time between periods; they should never leave their class without an out pass under any circumstance. Please remind them not to run during recess and at the time of arrival and departure.
DRESS FOR SUCCESS
We are proud of our well dressed students! Cleanliness, good grooming, neatness and modesty are important standards of appearance for everyone. Students are expected to wear appropriate school uniform in the school. Facial jewelry is not allowed. Sports shoes are recommended for physical education classes only; socks are highly desirable. Students are encouraged to wear their sports uniform as per the specified days. All clothing must meet the standards described in the KVS dress code. No sandals/flip flops, spaghetti-strap tops, bare midriff tops, or loose-fitting, low-hanging pants are permitted. No hats of any type are to be worn inside the building, and when hats are worn outside, they are to be worn in the manner intended (i.e., no backwards baseball caps). Hair cut for boys should be decent and girls should wear ribbon as mentioned in the uniform code.
We feel that the habit of study is as important as the study itself. Providing a specific place and time to complete assignments or to read is a good way to develop a habit of study. Therefore, a student ALWAYS knows when it is time to study. Students should study even if no homework is assigned.
Writing a letter to a relative or reading a book are examples of excellent activities that help the student apply what is learned at school. The amount of homework assigned by each teacher will be determined by the age and individual needs of the child. Students are expected to complete all assigned homework.
KV 1 Salt lake School’s Parent Teacher Association is a group of dedicated parents working to enrich our student’s educational experience. All parents are encouraged to join PTA (for registration link provided in the website) . The PTA is the link between the school and the community. It is a representative group of parents, teachers, and community members who meet regularly with the school administration to evaluate, plan and implement the School Improvement Plan. For the calendar of PTA activities and meetings, please visit www.KV1saltlake.net.
Kendriya Vidyalaya no 1 salt lake, the school I love,
Is a place where students grow,
Learn through wonder, dare to dream,
Building friendships, memories.
We will face each brand new day,
As our teachers lead the way,
That is why we’re proud to say
“The more you read, the more things you will learn. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
(Dr. Suman Lata)
